Corvette Wagon?

Get ready to pitch a sweet idea to your wife because the new 2014 Corvette Stingray just got practical.

Callaway, a Connecticut-based auto customizer has drawn up a hatch Corvette concept car. The design is known as the shooting brake body style. It keeps a sport coupe look up front while packing on the rear end of a wagon.

Of course concept cars have never really tickled my fancy, but apparently orders are already being taken. Callaway hopes to have these drifting outside your local grocery store by the end of the year under the “ AeroWagon” moniker. The option is priced around a very affordable $15,000.

Callaway claims the AeroWagon will do north of 200mph. Now we do know that the LT1 in the Stingray doesn’t have the grunt to do that from factory, so we expect part of that money will go towards some extra ponies. The hatch itself will be made of carbon fiber produced in-house.

We Americans just got our own Ferrari FF knockoff!
