The Ford Focus has handily secured the top spot as the most popular car in the world. Surpassing the Toyota Corolla by nearly a couple hundred thousand sales globally, the Focus is just one of three Ford models to make the top ten.
To nobody’s surprise, the Fiesta was also up on the list due to its dominance in Europe.
The real shocker was the Ford F-Series. Being the lone pick-up truck in the group, it reached third place! To put that in perspective, the Honda Civic is all the way back in ninth place.
Ford’s trio of top ten sellers is unmatched by any other auto maker as Toyota and Honda were the only others to have two models on the list. The remainders included a Chinese van that owes its success largely due to their massive population, the Chevy Cruze, the Volkswagen Golf, Honda CR-V, and the Toyota Camry.
Honestly, I would have put my money on Toyota all day long to own the list. I’m glad Ford is doing the USA right though.
